Overview
A grocery delivery platform built as three Android apps. Customers order vegetables, fruits and daily essentials for one-time or recurring delivery, vendors keep their catalogue, stock and live orders current, and riders accept orders and navigate to each stop.
For local grocery shoppers, the vendors who stock the catalogue, and the riders who deliver between them.
The challenge
Every order passes through three people: the customer who places it, the vendor who prepares it and the rider who delivers it. Each one needed an app built around their part of the job.
What we built
- Customer app: browse by category, a cart with an itemised bill, and coupons
- One-time or recurring delivery: 1 week, 15 days, 1 month or custom dates
- Cash on delivery or online payment, with order status from placed to delivered
- Vendor app: catalogue and stock control with price edits and availability toggles
- Live orders by status, order detail with the assigned rider, and a wallet
- Rider app: accept assigned orders, see distance to vendor and customer, hand off to Google Maps
